Perhaps no city is more important in musical history than Vienna. Home of Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms, Johann Strauss II, and Mahler (and today home of the Vienna Philharmonic), Vienna has long been the cultural center of music-making.

Vienna is a city of music, palaces, pastries, art, coffee, and great architecture. Long the home of the House of Habsburg and seat of the Holy Roman Empire, today Vienna is a stunning city in which one steps back in time. Music pervades the city’s atmosphere, and at every turn one sees homage to the great composers and musicians that called Vienna home.

Strings Abroad provides not only serious and concentrated musical instruction, but also a cultural experience that will expand students’ worldviews and offer powerful developmental opportunities. A capstone performance in a culturally significant space in the heart of Vienna will provide a lifetime of memories.
